Donjer Suede-Tex Flocking Fiber Kelly Green

The Kelly green flocking was the finishing touch inside the 80th Birthday Book Box. The outside of that box had the yellowheart, black epoxy artwork, hinges, and book-style details, but the inside needed to feel like a keepsake box too.

This was my first pass at flocking, and it helped the interior feel more intentional than bare wood. The green gives the box a soft, finished look when it opens, and it adds a little surprise after the engraved panels and birthday details on the outside.

It is a small material choice, but on a gift box it makes a difference. The flocking helped the project feel less like a woodworking experiment and more like something made to hold something personal.
