Tool Review
Festool Domino 500
The Festool Domino 500 was a good fit for the 8 ft Walnut Entry Hall Table because that build needed hidden strength and repeatable alignment. With a long case, a patterned top, and drawer fronts that had to go back where the grain belonged, the joinery side needed to be boring in the best possible way.
The Domino helped make that part more controlled. It gave me a reliable way to bring pieces together without turning every joint into a custom problem.
On a large furniture build, that kind of confidence matters. The finished table gets attention for the walnut, inlays, resin, and drawer fronts, but the hidden joinery is part of why it can feel clean and solid.
