The Creative Hobbies make-a-lamp kit gave the 3D-Printed Hall Lamp the standard lamp hardware it needed so the printed body could become an actual finished lamp. That let me focus on the shape, weighted base, surface filling, paint, and edge highlights instead of trying to improvise the electrical and shade-support pieces.

For a first lamp build, that was the right call. The printed body was already its own challenge because it had to be made in sections, filled, sanded, and stabilized with sand in the hollow base. Having proper lamp hardware made the final assembly feel cleaner.

It helped turn the project from a printed sculpture into something useful on the entry hall table, which is exactly what I wanted from that build.
