Magic Mirror Daily Dashboard

This Magic Mirror style daily dashboard turns a 10-inch LCD into a compact information panel for the things I check every day: current time, temperature, wind conditions, calendar items, local news, stock quotes, and upcoming dates.

The display sits in a handmade frame, so the finished project reads like a useful object instead of just a loose screen. The exact news, prices, temperatures, and dates shown in the photos are build-time snapshots from 2023.

Frame and Hardware

The physical build started with the frame, then moved into mounting the LCD, small computer board, wiring, and power behind it.

Dashboard Modules

Once the screen was working, the dashboard layout came together around glanceable modules: time, weather, wind, calendar, news, stocks, and upcoming dates.

Finished Daily Display

The finished dashboard is meant to live somewhere visible for quick check-ins. Later photos show the same screen updating with different daily information over time.

The payoff is modest but useful: one small framed display that gathers the everyday information I would otherwise check in several different places.
